Job Description

International House Riihimäki is seeking a fixed-term Project Coordinator for the period from September 1, 2026, to August 31, 2028. The City of Riihimäki, together with the City of Hämeenlinna, has received ESR+ funding for a two-year project titled "Experimenting and Meeting the Job Market - Foreign-language Speakers' Own Ideas as a Key to Employment." We are now recruiting a project coordinator for Riihimäki's sub-project. The project coordinator's duties include acting as the project coordinator for Riihimäki's sub-project. They will coordinate and be responsible for implementing Riihimäki's sub-project, achieving results, communication, and reporting in accordance with the project plan and funding decision. The project coordinator will develop an individual mentoring pathway for Riihimäki's sub-project and oversee the guidance and training of mentors. They will be responsible for implementing pilot rounds within the sub-project and will be primarily responsible for compiling results, as well as the adoption and dissemination of the tools and models tested. The project coordinator will collaborate with employers, which includes reaching out to and engaging local companies. The role also involves planning and organizing low-threshold events to promote matching. Qualifications include a suitable higher education degree and excellent Finnish and English language skills. Successful performance requires excellent interpersonal skills, strong expertise, and experience in networking, as well as promoting integration, adaptation, and employment of the target group of the project. Experience and understanding of working with companies are also required. The reporting of the project demands strong administrative skills, existing project expertise, management of large entities, and robust networking within municipal and employment sector organizations and external stakeholders. Good communication skills are also essential. The workplace is located at the International House in Riihimäki, at the Kotola competence center. The role involves active travel within the South Häme employment area, so owning a car and a driving license are necessary. The work is primarily on-site, but remote work may be possible depending on the tasks. The working hours are 38 hours and 15 minutes per week with flexible working hours. The base salary for the position is €3,405.61 per month, with possible additional experience-based pay (3% or 8% of the task-specific salary) and a personal supplement after six months based on performance evaluation.
