We are seeking an assistant through the Central Finland Wellbeing Services County for a permanent position to assist an elderly man who is hemiplegic in Jyväskylä city center. The employer uses a wheelchair. A lifting device and transfer board are used for transfers. The employer has memory and speech issues but can express himself, the right side functions normally, and he can feed himself. The work is offered variably for 30 hours per month during free time. Flexible shifts are planned at least two weeks in advance. Responsibilities include assisting with outdoor activities, errands, and leisure activities. Salary: €12.89 + possible experience-based bonuses. Employment is always private. The person selected for the position will be employed by the assisted person or their guardian. Notification of interview/employment decision will be given personally. Work begins once a suitable assistant is found. Orientation will be provided based on needs, situations, and the skills of the recruited person. The employer has the right to request a criminal record extract from the employee working with elderly and disabled persons once the employment begins (Social and Health Care Supervision Act 741/2023, Section 28).
