Job Description

Hello, you pedagogically-minded resource teacher in early childhood education who approaches children with acceptance and playfulness! The resource special education teacher in early childhood education participates in developing pedagogical activities and acts as an expert in growth and learning support. Key responsibilities include activities focused on supporting children, groups, and teams, multidisciplinary collaboration, developing pedagogy within the unit, and maintaining and developing personal expertise. The resource special education teacher works closely with the daycare director, the daycare's special education teacher, and the daycare teams. They also plan and implement activities for individual children in collaboration with the special education teacher, involving the team, guardians, and various specialists. The position requires, among other skills: Extensive theoretical knowledge of overall child development and developmental special features Knowledge of alternative communication methods and their use Utilization of the latest research findings Solution-focused approach with a sensitive touch Ability to independently assess and plan support needs, implement, and evaluate Organizational and self-management skills Good IT skills Skills in self-evaluation and reflection Tolerance for ambiguity and problem-solving skills Regular supervision and peer mentoring groups are arranged to support the resource special education teacher's well-being and resilience. The resource special education teacher's work location varies annually. The work area covers the entire Southern early childhood education region. The employment relationship follows a 6-month probation period. Qualifications for a special education teacher in early childhood education: Early Childhood Education Act (540/2018) Section 30. Applicants must submit a criminal record extract as specified in the Criminal Records Act (504/2002, Section 6, Subsection 2).
