React Native Engineer (15-month fixed-term employment contract) - Schibsted - Remote - Global

Our product is built by teams based in Oslo and Gdańsk, working closely together to deliver a seamless experience for thousands of users every day. The Oslo office brings together around 30 specialists across backend engineering, frontend development, QA and Data. In Gdańsk, we're a growing team of engineers working across frontend (web & mobile), backend and DevOps. ABOUT THE ROLE: As a React Native Engineer, you'll join a mature product team developing mobile applications for users across the Nordic markets. This is an active product development role where you'll build new features, improve existing functionality and help bring our mobile applications closer to feature parity with the web platform. You'll also contribute to keeping our applications modern by maintaining SDKs and dependencies. Working in close collaboration with designers, backend engineers and fellow frontend developers, you'll have the opportunity to take ownership of your work while learning from experienced teammates. We work in 3-week sprints and value open communication, knowledge sharing and continuous improvement. Your responsibilities include developing and maintaining React Native applications used across four Nordic markets, building new features, maintaining SDKs and dependencies, collaborating closely with backend engineers, designers and product managers, working with GraphQL as the main communication layer, contributing to CI/CD pipelines and application quality with tools such as Sentry, and participating in code reviews. ABOUT YOU: You're passionate about mobile development, eager to learn, take ownership, and collaborate effectively. You have solid experience with React Native, good knowledge of TypeScript, experience publishing in App Store and Google Play, working with GraphQL, and good English skills. It’s great if you also have experience with Expo, CI/CD, Sentry, and a degree in Computer Science or related field. You should be available for occasional travel to Oslo. WORK MODEL & LOCATION: Our Gdańsk teams work in a remote-first model, meeting in the Tricity area approximately every two weeks. CONTRACT: This is a 15-month fixed-term employment contract, supporting the growth of our mobile team and product development across the Nordic markets.
