Summer 2026: Nurse, Practical Nurse, Jyväskylä Hospital Department 3, Jyväskylä, Fixed-term - Keski-Suomen hyvinvointialue - Jyväskylä, Finland

We are seeking a nurse or practical nurse for a summer temporary position at Jyväskylä Hospital Department 3 from July 13 to August 30, 2026. Jyväskylä Hospital Department 3 primarily treats patients with psychiatric symptoms and substance dependence. The department also cares for other patient groups. Treatment periods are short, usually from a few days to a few weeks, based on a treatment plan developed under the supervision of doctors and the care team. The patient's motivation is important for the implementation of treatment. Hospital care ends when the patient's condition no longer requires inpatient care. Recovery continues in outpatient care after hospital treatment as needed. Collaboration is maintained with relatives and the patient's broader network. The department employs doctors, nurses, practical nurses, physiotherapists, a social worker, ward attendants, and specialist nurses (psychiatric nurse, wound care nurse, discharge nurse). Consultation with a hospital pharmacist and dietitian is available if needed. Patients arrive at the department on an emergency basis or transferred from specialized care. The work involves three-shift rotation. Previous experience in ward operations is considered an advantage.
