Job Description
Länsiharjun School is a primary school in southern Lahti, near the city center and accessible by good transportation links. The school has approximately 500 students in grades 1-6 and preparatory education. We expect the selected candidate to have experience working as a special education teacher in early education, good collaboration skills, and knowledge of organizing support in basic education. The teaching hours are at least 16 hours per week. The qualification requirement is a valid special education teacher qualification. Teacher qualifications are determined according to the decree no 986/98 on the qualifications of education personnel. If there are no qualified applicants, the position may be filled by an applicant without the qualification. The position requires good proficiency in Finnish. Please indicate your qualification status in your application and attach copies of certificates proving your qualifications. Original certificates will be checked during the possible interview. The selected candidate must present a criminal background check as required by law 504/2002 before starting the position. A drug test certificate may also be requested.
