Development Engineer for Electrical Automation Maintenance - Tervakoski Oy - Janakkala, Finland

We are seeking a development engineer for electrical automation maintenance at our investment-focused specialty paper mill in Tervakoski. Your main tasks will include developing electrical equipment, software, and preventive maintenance at the plant, troubleshooting, and substituting for work supervisors. You will act as a technical expert in automation and share your expertise with staff through inductions and training. An excellent opportunity is to participate in the investment phase of a new production line. We expect from you: A suitable degree as an engineer or a Master of Science in Engineering, e.g., electrical automation engineer. At least three years of experience in industrial electrical, automation, or maintenance tasks. Experience in paper or other process industries is an advantage. Good safety attitude. Collaboration skills, initiative, and flexibility. Ability to act as a technical expert in investment projects, including preparing procurement proposals. Experience with operations management systems, e.g., SAP PM. PLC programming skills, e.g., Siemens, Honeywell. Good IT skills and basic automation design knowledge. Cybersecurity expertise in automation networks is an advantage. Willingness to expand and develop your skills, as the scope of tasks is very broad. Readiness to participate in electrical automation on-call duties after gaining plant familiarity. Fluent Finnish and English skills.
