Job Description
We are seeking a charge nurse for Henriikkakoti in Teuva for the period from July 20, 2026, to June 12, 2027. Henriikkakoti provides a home for 31 elderly residents. In round-the-clock assisted living, we emphasize resident-centered approach, daily life individuality, and meaningfulness. Homeliness and community are values reflected in the daily activities of the care home. We are looking for a responsible, independent charge nurse with good communication skills for a fixed-term position. The candidate should prioritize resident-centered, humane care and service, and respectful interaction. The charge nurse will partly be responsible for shift planning and task distribution within the unit, and will participate in staff recruitment. The job includes conveying evidence-based nursing information and providing care in collaboration with a multidisciplinary care team. You will serve as a responsible care expert, with professional expertise including planning, implementing, evaluating, and coordinating the overall care. We expect motivation to develop nursing work together with staff. You are self-directed, capable of decision-making, responsible, and a team player. In customer-oriented work, respect for the client’s right to self-determination and a good, independent end-of-life are essential. Daily cooperation with residents’ relatives is important. The qualification requirement is a Licensed Practical Nurse degree according to the Act on Health Care Professionals 564/94. Terms of employment and salary are determined according to the applicable collective agreement. The starting salary for the position is €3,387.63/month. A probationary period applies at the beginning of employment. A criminal record extract as per law 741/2023 § 28 must be presented before starting the position. HYVAEP is a smoke-free workplace. The position requires vaccination against infectious diseases as per section 48 of the Infectious Diseases Act and proof of tuberculosis status as per section 55, as well as approved administration of Love medication. Original educational and employment certificates will be checked during possible interviews.
