Job Description
South Savo Wellbeing Services Eloisa is seeking a public health nurse for a permanent position at the Savonlinna social and health center starting from June 15, 2026, or according to agreement. Are you enthusiastic about promoting work ability and possess strong motivating skills? Your approach is goal-oriented, and you operate naturally within various networks, utilizing your expertise in collaboration with different actors. Your collaboration and interaction skills are good, and your communication is fluent both verbally and in writing. You have experience in adult healthcare work and the ability to guide clients. The public health nurse is part of the work ability team, working alongside a work ability coordinator, a work ability doctor, and other social and health care professionals. The nurse acts as a healthcare expert within a multidisciplinary team. Multidisciplinary network work is an essential part of the role. We serve clients in a client-oriented manner, developing work methods to meet current needs. The duties include health examinations, assessment of care needs, and evaluation of work and functional capacity in relation to employment. The role may also include other reception duties as needed. Comprehensive orientation will be provided. The primary workplace is the Savonlinna social and health center, but you may also work at other locations and visit partner organizations such as employment services or events. The qualification requirement is a degree in public health nursing from a university of applied sciences or an earlier polytechnic degree, along with registration as a healthcare professional under the law (559/94). Extensive experience in independent reception work is required. Good oral and written Finnish language skills are also necessary for the role. We appreciate candidates with the ability to work independently, good teamwork skills, the ability to work in multidisciplinary teams, and the capacity to evaluate and develop work. Training as a work ability coordinator is considered an advantage. The role requires vaccination against infectious diseases as per section 48 of the Infectious Diseases Act and a health status report regarding respiratory tuberculosis as per section 55.
