Security Assistant (Practical Nurse), Security Assistance Services, Espoo and Kauniainen - Länsi-Uudenmaan hyvinvointialue

Would you like your work to influence our clients' ability to live independently and safely in their own homes for as long as possible? Our clients are residents of Western Uusimaa, receiving security assistance services in all municipalities of the wellbeing area. Most clients are elderly. We are looking for eight practical nurses with a background in home care to work as security assistants in clients' homes in Espoo and Kauniainen, performing security assistance tasks. In this role, you will help build a completely new operation together with other experts in the wellbeing area. You will ensure that our clients receive high-quality and prompt assistance around the clock. Your main responsibilities include receiving emergency calls from security clients via an electronic alarm center system and visiting clients' homes independently and autonomously. You will assess the care and situation needs of the client and provide immediate medical first aid or other support as needed. You will evaluate the need for additional help and arrange further assistance for the client if necessary. When needed, you will consult other professionals and ensure the client receives adequate home support. You will also be responsible for making necessary entries into the system and reporting to other professionals. You will collaborate with various authorities, such as home care and social and crisis emergency services. Your work also includes installing security alarms and other safety devices for clients and checking their operation. Interested? Qualifications: To operate under the title of Practical Nurse, you must have the right to use a protected professional title suitable for the role. The selected candidate must be registered in the central register of social and health care professionals. What we expect from you: - readiness to work independently in clients' homes in Espoo and Kauniainen and a valid driver’s license. - knowledge of emergency and alarm center operations in the social and health care sector, as well as relevant legislation. - understanding of the support services for living at home and client needs. - good oral and written communication skills in Finnish and sufficient oral and written skills in Swedish. - good teamwork skills. You approach people calmly and empathetically and can quickly assess the client’s situation and care needs. - ability to work independently based on the shared operational models and guidelines of the West Uusimaa wellbeing area. - quick adaptation to new systems and proficient use of work-related systems (patient information system, alarm center system, security device management system, and sensor data analysis platform). Tehtävässä edellytetään myös tartuntatautilain 48§:n mukaista rokotussuojaa sekä tartuntatautilain §55 mukaista tuberkuloosiselvitystä.
