Municipal Technical Worker - Oriveden kaupunki - Orivesi, Finland

We are seeking a municipal technical worker in Orivesi. The City of Orivesi's Technical and Environmental Services Department is looking for a skilled professional for a fixed-term position from June 29, 2026, to June 27, 2027. There is an opportunity for permanent employment after the fixed-term period. The duties of the municipal technical worker include various maintenance, repair, and construction tasks related to traffic routes and water supply network. The role also involves operating machinery and participating in snow removal and gritting duties during the winter season. We expect candidates to have a relevant vocational qualification and/or sufficient experience in the field. We value good teamwork skills, independence, flexibility, and a willingness to develop one's skills. Experience in pipe installation and machinery operation is considered an advantage. A health certificate approved by Pirte Oy must be presented before starting employment. A valid B-class driving license is required. Professional certificates (water work, safety, first aid, hot work) are considered an advantage. The position is fixed-term. There is a possibility of permanent employment after the fixed-term. The weekly working hours are 38.25. Salary is based on the municipal technical staff collective agreement, with a task-specific salary of €2,557.04/month plus possible additional compensation.
