Job Description

The Early Childhood Education Services of the City of Loviisa are seeking a temporary early childhood education childcare worker for a fixed-term employment from August 13, 2026, to June 4, 2027. The placement is in supplementary early childhood education at Harjurinne School. We are looking for a motivated, committed, and flexible childcare worker to join our team. The weekly working hours are 23 hours, from Monday to Thursday 12:30-17:00 and Friday 12:00-17:00. A child-centered approach is important to us. We expect commitment to teamwork, good interaction skills, flexibility, and a positive attitude when interacting with different people. The qualification requirement is the qualification required for the position of childcare worker according to section 28 of the Early Childhood Education Act (540/2018). The selected person must, before starting the job, present a criminal record extract issued under the Act on Background Checks of Persons Working with Children (504/2002) and submit an acceptable medical certificate of health within 30 days of starting employment. A four-month probationary period will be observed in filling the position. The employer reserves the right not to fill the position if there are not enough qualified or suitable applicants.
