Project Engineer - Koja Oy - Tampere, Finland

We are looking for a project engineer for our Marine business in Tampere. In this role, you will act as a project engineer in Marine business projects, working closely with project managers as their right and left hand. You will be responsible for support tasks and ensuring smooth daily operations of the projects. Your tasks include managing project procurement calls and communication with suppliers and other partners. You will also be in daily contact with the client’s project organization and participate in scheduling and timing of tasks assigned to Koj. Additionally, the role involves other typical project management tasks in different project phases. You will utilize the Business Central ERP system for forecasting, order processing, and procurement. You will work with Outlook and other Microsoft tools such as Excel, and manage project documentation in M-Files. You will also use Lime CRM and be an integral part of the project team’s daily activities. We seek a person with the right attitude towards work and a willingness to take responsibility as part of a project team. Education background is less important than being proactive, organized, practical, and confident in asking for help when needed. AutoCAD skills are an advantage but not required to have a deep design background. We are looking for a self-driven responsible type with an entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to see tasks through to completion. The role requires an engineer degree in HVAC or similar field and fluent English skills. Previous experience in shipbuilding is not mandatory but is considered an advantage. Experience in HVAC is also beneficial, but the degree provides a sufficient starting point. The work is interactive, so we value customer service orientation, a proactive attitude, and clear, natural communication in Finnish and English. Basic IT skills and the ability to learn new systems support success in this role. You may also work on projects related to government contracts, which may require a security clearance in accordance with applicable legislation (Security Clearance Act 726/2014). The position is full-time with a weekly working time of 37.5 hours. It is located in a financially stable Finnish family company. You will be supported by a knowledgeable and approachable team that shares expertise and helps when needed. The workplace is in Tampere, with the possibility of partial remote work.
