Job Description
The responsibilities of a full-time teacher in electrical and automation engineering primarily focus on teaching content related to basic and vocational qualifications in electrical and automation fields. The teacher works as part of a team, ensuring the implementation of individual study paths, guiding students at the educational institution and workplace, assessing practical demonstrations, and planning and developing training programs together with the team. You will be responsible for daily electrical work and customer projects within your expertise. Active collaboration with working life is an essential part of the role. Success in the role is supported by the ability to manage broad tasks and a positive attitude towards work. You have a student-centered and professional growth-supporting guidance approach and can develop training and service products according to the needs of working life and customers. You are cooperative, have excellent interpersonal skills, are solution-oriented, enthusiastic about your work, and a customer-focused team player. The ideal candidate has a suitable qualification, electrical certification S2, experience as an electrician focusing on electrical installations in buildings within 230/400 V systems, and a positive attitude with a desire to develop professionally. Qualifications for the teaching position are determined according to the decree on the qualifications of education personnel 986/1998. Teachers of vocational subjects in electrical and automation fields may also qualify with a specialized vocational qualification (EAT) and at least five years of strong and/or specialized practical professional skills. Experience in teaching at the secondary level, teamwork, use of Wilma and ItsLearning learning environments, and knowledge of the Southwest Häme region's working life are considered an advantage. Work and study certificates are requested from those invited for an interview. The selected candidate must present a criminal record extract and a health statement before starting the position, in accordance with law 504/2002. LHKK is a smoke-free workplace. The position is subject to a 6-month probation period. Salary and employment terms are based on the municipal collective agreement for education (OVTES).
