Part-time Teacher of Mathematics for Basic Education and High School - Muonion kunta - Muonio, Finland

We are seeking a mathematics part-time teacher to join our team in Muonio for a fixed-term position from August 1, 2026, to July 31, 2027. The position may become permanent in spring 2027. Muonio is a municipality in Tunturi-Lappi, offering excellent opportunities for outdoor activities with its trails and routes. Assistance with housing is provided. Join our friendly work community. This is a full-time position. The high school has approximately 35 students, and the basic education classes 7-9 have about 85 students. The groups and schools are small. You will teach mathematics in both basic education and high school. Full-time employment can also include teaching other subjects in basic education or high school. It is considered an advantage if you can also teach chemistry in basic education and/or high school. We are looking for a skilled and cooperative part-time teacher for our combined school and high school. We value good communication and classroom management skills and seek a teacher who can inspire students through their own example and interest. Qualifications are based on the decree on the qualifications of education personnel (986/1998), and salary is according to OVTES. The position includes a six (6) month probation period. The supervisor for the part-time teacher is the principal of basic education.
