Job Description
We are seeking a registered nurse for a permanent position in the youth mental health and substance abuse team in Jyväskylä. In this role, you will work with youth and their families as part of a multidisciplinary team that includes nurses, social workers, psychologists, social workers, and doctors. Your work will be supported by close and accessible supervisory support. As a nurse, you will work with youth and their families on mental health and substance abuse issues, as well as interaction and relationship challenges. The position requires strong expertise in substance abuse and mental health work. You will utilize dialogic, solution-focused, and short-term therapeutic methods, working with individuals, families, and groups. The work mainly involves therapeutic discussion and care work with young people experiencing mild to moderate mental health and substance abuse challenges, and their families. The role also includes some outreach work across the regions of Jyväskylä, Joutsa, Muurame, and Toivakka. Our team consists of passionate and approachable professionals. Multidisciplinary collaboration and continuous development are central to our activities. We expect applicants to: - Have solid experience in mental health and substance abuse work with children and youth - Have skills in managing and recognizing mental health disorders and substance abuse problems - Be prepared to work with concurrent mental health and substance abuse challenges - Be capable of independent work and multidisciplinary collaboration. Experience with impactful working methods and working with children, youth, and families is valued. The role offers opportunities to shape your work and develop your skills according to your interests. Support for the role includes group supervision and professional development training. The working hours are flexible, with the possibility of partial remote work. A driver’s license is essential. The employer provides leasing cars. The salary for this position is €3,115.50 per month. In addition, we pay experience-based supplements of 3% after 5 years and 8% after 10 years. Consider also the good working conditions in the public sector, such as holiday entitlement. Vacation days accrue based on your experience—the more experience, the more days earned. We also offer various employee discounts that can be used with a staff card.
