Job Description
The Development Specialist's duties are to map the service needs of illiterate persons who have moved to Finland, investigate and develop operating models to promote their autonomy, and plan and implement the introduction of new operating models. Administratively, the position is located within the social services supporting integration, but the purpose is to develop work with illiterate persons broadly across adult social services. The role involves cooperation with other integration-supporting parties, such as municipalities and organizations. In addition to the supervisor, a steering group assembled from adult social services will support the Development Specialist. The position offers the opportunity to innovate freely regarding the means to promote the autonomy of illiterate persons in adult social services. The Development Specialist will be provided with a laptop, a phone, and their own workstation in an open-plan office. Work can be performed partially remotely. Workplace name and address: Kotoutumista tukevat sosiaalipalvelut, Pyyntitie 3, 02230, Espoo Working hours: 36 h 15 min / week The position is temporary, 14.9.2026 - 31.12.2027 or starting as agreed. Suitable education: a suitable higher education degree. The position requires good cooperation skills, flexibility, initiative, development skills, creativity, and knowledge of social welfare services. Those selected for the position may be randomly asked to provide a drug test certificate in accordance with the Western Uusimaa wellbeing services county's substance abuse program.
