The IT Architect is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the information architecture of the Enforcement Authority. The role emphasizes designing and managing data structures, data models, and data flows, as well as creating an overall view of the organization's data, its structures, and relationships. The goal is to ensure that data is of high quality, consistent, secure, and easily accessible for analytics, reporting, and operational systems. The IT Architect defines the overall architecture of the data layer and supports the objectives of core operations and administration by enabling data-driven decision-making and efficient data solutions. The role involves designing logical and conceptual data models, data structures, as well as structures for data warehouses, data marts, and integrations. It also includes developing metadata management, data quality, and data governance. The IT Architect acts as a bridge between administration, core operations, IT, development teams, and analytics. The work involves close collaboration with data owners, IT service providers, and other agencies within the Ministry of Justice. The role includes guiding developers, analysts, and integration teams, evaluating and selecting data technologies, and supporting the planning of cloud and data platform solutions. Data security and privacy are considered in data utilization, in cooperation with data protection teams. The responsibilities may also include other tasks within the unit.
