We are seeking a social worker for a fixed-term position at Pohjanmaa Wellbeing Services, with an initial placement in resource management services. The role involves acting as an internal substitute in social and crisis emergency services. The substitution begins as soon as possible and ends on 31 May 2027. Pohjanmaa Social and Crisis Emergency Services operates as a statutory service across the wellbeing area, serving social emergency matters and providing acute psychosocial support and crisis work 24/7, every day of the year. The service ensures urgent and necessary assistance for all population groups in social crises and emergencies. It is a unit operating through a emergency dispatch center, with variable working days. Work is mainly in 12-hour shifts, around the clock. The work is based on teamwork, but also requires the ability to work independently. The work is mobile, and the unit has a vehicle available. A driver’s license is required for the role. The duties of a social worker include psychosocial support in acute crisis situations, assessing the need for help and services for clients in emergency situations, and ensuring immediate support measures and services. Successful performance requires experience and knowledge of social services, especially child protection, and a broad understanding of legislation related to social welfare. The unit involves multi-agency cooperation with various actors. Qualifications: - Licensed social worker according to the Act on Social Welfare Professionals (817/2015, § 8). - Good oral and satisfactory written skills in both national languages. - The selected candidate must have a valid vaccination against infectious diseases as per the Infectious Diseases Act (1227/2016) § 48. Additionally, a criminal record extract as per Criminal Records Act § 6, subsection 2, must be presented. A trial period applies.
