Job Description
The rehabilitative short-term unit Vire is located in Vimpeli, and we have a permanent position available for a licensed practical nurse starting from 15.6.26. The unit has 20 customer places for rehabilitative short-term accommodation and one crisis place. In the short-term accommodation unit, the focus is on promoting the overall functioning and well-being of clients, as well as supporting relatives or informal caregivers. Our team is multidisciplinary, with the customer at the center. For clients in care, a safe and rehabilitative environment is created, active daytime activities are organized, and participation is promoted by considering the clients' resources. The staff includes care home workers, practical nurses, nurses, and a physiotherapist working under rehabilitation services. We expect the applicant to have good professional skills, strong communication and collaboration skills, a cheerful and motivated attitude, and the ability to work independently in rehabilitative customer care. Previous experience in elderly care, enthusiasm for developing professional skills, the work community, and operations, flexibility, good teamwork skills, and commitment to a customer-oriented, rehabilitative approach are valued. Additionally, interest in organizing and developing activities that promote social interaction (SKET) in our unit is appreciated. The qualification requirement is a social and health care basic degree, a practical nurse (in accordance with law 559/1994 or 817/2015). Registration with the National Registry of Social and Health Care Professionals (Valvira) as a protected title professional is required. The practical nurse's work involves three-shift work. The selected candidate must have completed a medication permit. Good oral and written Finnish language skills are required. Original certificates of education and employment will be checked during the interview. Terms of employment and salary are based on the applicable SOTE agreement, with a starting salary of 2627.08 euros/month. A trial period applies to the employment. A health certificate and a criminal background check according to law 741/2023 §28 must be presented before starting the position. A drug test may be required. HYVAEP is a smoke-free workplace. The position requires vaccination against infectious diseases as per section 48 of the Infectious Diseases Act and a tuberculosis certificate as per section 55.
