We are looking for a substitute teacher for mathematics (mathematics, physics, chemistry) at Saimaanharju Middle School for the period August 1, 2026, to July 31, 2027. Saimaanharju School is a small middle school for grades 7-9 with 140 students, including general education classes and a special class. The selected candidate must have qualifications according to the Decree 986/1998 on the qualifications of education personnel. Original certificates proving qualifications must be presented during the interview if applicable. We value experience in teaching mathematics, physics, and chemistry for grades 7-9 and require good interaction and cooperation skills, initiative, and the willingness and ability to collaborate. Employment terms are based on the OVTES agreement, and a 190-euro Taipalsaari bonus is paid to qualified subject teachers in Taipalsaari municipality. A six-month probationary period applies. The successful applicant must present a criminal record extract issued under the Act 504/2002 concerning working with children and young people, which must not be older than six months.
