Job Description

Are you a motivated and collaborative home economics teacher who wants to support middle school students' growth, learning, and success as part of a caring and professional community? We are seeking a full-time substitute teacher for a fixed-term position from August 1, 2026, to July 31, 2027. The responsibilities of the full-time teacher include: - Teaching home economics - Possibly teaching other primary education subjects depending on your expertise and the school's needs - Working as part of a skilled, encouraging, and community-oriented team - Developing teaching methods and practices together with colleagues. The initial placement for this position is Raumanmeren Basic School, where teaching is provided for grades 7-9. Qualifications are based on the decree on the qualifications of education personnel (986/1998). A copy of the qualification certificate must be attached to the application. Original certificates will be presented at the interview if required. The position is subject to a six-month probation period. Salary and employment terms are determined according to OVTES. The selected candidate must present a criminal background check as required by the Criminal Records Act (770/1993), section 6, subsection 2, before taking up the position.
