Daycare Director - Eurajoen kunta - Eurajoki, Finland

The municipality of Eurajoki is accepting applications until June 7, 2026, at 21:00 for a permanent position as a daycare director starting September 1, 2026. The first placement for the position will be at the new daycare Makasiini opening in the center of Eurajoki in autumn 2026, which will have two groups for children. The daycare director's duties also include acting as the supervisor for two group family daycare units located at separate sites. As a daycare director, you will be responsible for managing the pedagogy, staff, and finances of the daycare and group family daycare, as well as customer work and development of operations. We value a qualified early childhood education professional: you work with a development-oriented and participative approach, can organize and make decisions, and have the ability to operate in changing situations. You should have resilience to stress, good interaction skills, and digital competence. Experience in leadership roles within early childhood education is also appreciated. As a daycare director, you will be part of the permanent team of early childhood education in Eurajoki. We collaborate with colleagues, the community, and various stakeholders to develop early childhood education. We offer orientation to the role, supportive management structures and services, an encouraging work community, peer support, and necessary further training. The qualification requirement for the position is compliance with the Early Childhood Education Act (540/2018), considering sections 74 and 75, including transitional provisions. The selected candidate must present an acceptable criminal record extract and a health statement before starting the job, in accordance with law 504/2002 (the law on background checks for those working with children) (KVhL 7 §).
