Mechanical maintenance technician

This recruitment is anonymous. We are seeking a mechanical maintenance technician for Metsä Fibre’s Lappeenranta sawmill to perform a variety of plant maintenance and service tasks. As a maintenance worker you are an important part of ensuring efficient saw operations. You will contribute to ensuring equipment functionality and productive output. In maintenance you will work on maintenance, machine servicing, preventive maintenance and repair tasks. In addition, per our production model, maintenance technicians may also perform production tasks when needed to ensure efficient saw operation. You will collaborate with electrical automation technicians, production operators and supervisors. In this role you will perform diverse mechanical maintenance tasks across different departments of the saw. Maintenance work is performed in shifts TAM35, and the position is full-time and permanent. What do we expect from you? You should have mechanical skills for industrial maintenance tasks, welding, knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics and machining, and good problem-solving abilities. We require basic technical education and basic skills in automation and use of information systems. Previous experience as a mechanical maintenance technician and industrial production know-how are valued.
