Public Health Nurse, School Health Services, Akaa - Pirkanmaan hyvinvointialue - Akaa, Finland

We are seeking a public health nurse for a fixed-term position in Akaa's school health services. The role is currently based at Arvo Ylppö School and Toijala Joint School. As a public health nurse, you will be an expert in promoting health within the school community. You will be responsible for school health care, working alongside a doctor and as a close part of student welfare services. You will support children, adolescents, and families at various developmental stages in collaboration with home and school. Additionally, the role includes broad responsibilities in school health care. The position is temporary, starting on 1.8.2026 or as agreed, ending on 22.11.2026, with a half-time trial period. Full-time work with general working hours is required. Vaccination against infectious diseases is mandatory. The candidate must be a licensed nurse in Finland and suitable for the role. Experience in school health care and Omni-system skills are advantageous. The role requires strong independent decision-making and excellent cooperation skills. The candidate should have completed medication handling courses (LOVe, LOP, KIPU, PKV, ROKOTUS, PSYK1) or be able to do so at the start of employment. Interested?
