Job Description
We are currently looking for a store manager / versatile boat service station employee. This is not a basic retail supervisory role. We are seeking a proactive individual to run Seapoint's boat service station—someone who enjoys being where the action is: among customers, at the dock, in a busy environment, and during the peak of summer. If you are more of a doer than a title collector, you might be the right fit for us. During summer, the boat station is lively: boats come and go, coffee flows, fuel is pumped, goods are ordered and unloaded, something might break right at the busiest time. In such moments, a person is needed: someone who doesn’t wait for instructions, keeps things under control, and handles tools confidently. One day: orders products for the café, brainstorms with the summer team, troubleshoots the cash system, teaches others how to assist customers at the dock and at the register, plans work shifts outdoors in the sun, or tightens a door handle that has come loose. In this role, you lead by example, not from an office corner. Where is the work done? During the summer season, the locations are primarily in Liuskaluoto, Helsinki (from May to September), and possibly in Suvisaaristo, Espoo. The sites are open seven days a week throughout the season, so you should understand that summer is the busiest and most important time for this job. The work involves moving between locations, so having your own car is an advantage. The season is approaching, and we hope you can start as soon as possible, preferably immediately or by early June. Who are we looking for? You don’t need to be an expert in boating or retail, but for this role, we require someone with relevant work experience, preferably several years. You have managed a store, café, gas station, or restaurant. We hope you are entrepreneurial-minded, responsible, able to handle busy periods, good with people, and able to lead with positive energy without hesitating to get involved. Extra points if you are familiar with boating or harbor life, understand seasonal business, and have technical or practical skills. What do we offer? Support from a well-known and growing brand, freedom to work in your own style in a maritime and genuinely different work environment, a great team, significant responsibility without unnecessary bureaucracy, and a summer where no two days are the same. This role suits someone who thrives where the action is, not just where talking about work happens. Application To avoid receiving overly perfect applications generated by AI—which we honestly prefer not to get—we encourage you to introduce yourself not only with a CV but also with a short video clip. It doesn’t need to be a professional production; a simple phone video is perfectly fine. We just want to see what kind of person you really are.
