Special Class Teacher - Karstulan kunta - Karstula, Finland

Join our school! We are looking for a special class teacher for basic education, who will work closely with the entire school staff. The placement is in a small group at the elementary school. Karstula Comprehensive School has about three hundred students from preschool to ninth grade. The staff at our school is nearly 50, and we have been based in the school building since August 2021. In addition to the comprehensive school, the building houses Laaksola Daycare and Karstula High School. Nearby are the Karstula Library and the sports hall. Qualifications are determined according to the decree on the qualifications of teaching staff (986/1998). We require good communication and teamwork skills. We value initiative and flexibility. The position requires proficiency in Finnish at native speaker level. The reason for the fixed-term position is an anticipated change in the number of children and related organizational changes. The selected candidate must provide a criminal record extract in accordance with section 6, subsection 2 of the Criminal Records Act (2002/504) before starting work. The employment relationship is subject to a probationary period (4 months). In the absence of qualified applicants, non-qualified applicants will also be considered. Salary and other terms of employment are determined according to the municipal collective agreement for teaching staff (OVTES).
