A fixed-term position as a school assistant is available at Tuiran School in the Merituuli unit for the 2026-2027 academic year. Tuiran School operates at two locations: Tuiran School for grades 1-9, Matti Hällin kuja 3, and Merituuli unit for grades 1-6 and VET, Kauppaseurantie 2. The role involves guiding a demanding special support group. The work may also include APIP guidance and some general education teaching duties. Qualifications required are a professional qualification in school attendance and morning and afternoon activity guidance, a practical nurse qualification with a focus on children and youth, or another suitable professional qualification that includes pedagogical studies or education and guidance studies. Additional qualifications include MAPA or equivalent training and completion of medication administration ABC. The ability and willingness to work flexibly as part of a guidance team in various situations are also considered an advantage. The salary for the school assistant position is based on the job-specific pay scale and levels of competence and responsibility, ranging from €2,341.57 to €2,460.00. The actual salary consists of the job-specific pay and possible other levels according to the KVTES agreement. The selected candidate must present a criminal record extract related to working with children, as required by law (504/2002) section 3, before starting the position.
