Job Description
We are looking for you DESIGN ENGINEER A position for a design engineer is open in the urban technical services result area of the Municipal Environment Service Center of the Municipality of Vihti. The position is new. Join our enthusiastic and committed team in the urban technical services result area of Vihti's Municipal Environment Service Center to provide high-quality services for our residents. Over 20 professionals work in the urban technical services result area in the fields of earthworks, traffic areas, and green areas. You are the person we are looking for if you have at least a suitable engineering degree (e.g., urban engineering) and work experience in similar roles. We expect good basic IT skills, proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD), good interaction skills, good proficiency in Finnish, an independent work style, innovativeness, ability to cooperate, and initiative. Proficiency in GIS software is considered an advantage. As a design engineer, you will be responsible for the urban technical part of design tasks, directing design, and coordination tasks. You will also be responsible for the cost, quality, and schedule monitoring and reporting of design projects, as well as preparing official and body decisions. Additionally, the duties include drafting connection statements for stormwater and street connections of properties, preparing permits for public areas, and customer service work. The job involves close cooperation with other units of the municipality and stakeholders. Your own design tasks will be adjusted in terms of requirement level according to your expertise and desire for development.
