Charge Nurse in Helsinki - Medipower Oy - Helsinki, Finland

The work is located in a private Swedish-speaking service home that provides assisted living for the elderly and around-the-clock care. It is a small unit where staff support each other in daily situations flexibly. The work is day shifts, and the working hours depend on the tasks, approximately 75–100%. Orientation will be provided from July 15 to 17, 2026. As a charge nurse, you will support the nurses in daily work and be responsible for various nursing and coordinating tasks. The job includes welcoming new residents, collaborating with doctors, and communicating residents' well-being to relatives and staff. Additionally, tasks involve ordering necessary tests, working with the pharmacy, maintaining medication lists, medication orders, and monthly reporting to the service purchaser. The role also involves participating in weekly ward meetings, collaborating with kitchen staff on diets, and weekly open consultations for residents of the senior house. We require the applicant to have a nursing degree and a license from Valvira. Valid medication licenses are mandatory for the position. Fluency in Swedish is required, as the unit's working language and documentation are in Swedish. However, perfect fluency is not necessary. Skills in Finnish or English are advantageous for cooperation with various stakeholders. We value a responsible work attitude, organizational skills, and good interpersonal skills.
