Job Description
At the Härmälänranta residential unit, we provide long-term 24-hour service housing and supported housing for people with intellectual disabilities. The Härmälänranta unit is located on the border of Tampere and Pirkkala, with good transport links. The Härmälänranta unit has a total of seven long-term 24-hour service housing places. Residents live on the first floor of an apartment building. Dining takes place in the building's common area. Residents have access to lounge areas, sauna facilities, and the building's shared inner courtyard. Additionally, there are 14 supported housing apartments for people with intellectual disabilities living independently, who receive support from a supported housing instructor. Staff are present in the home around the clock, and residents receive the help, support, and guidance they need in their housing and daily activities. Residents' weekdays are filled with daytime activities, household chores, other errands, and outdoor activities. Strengthening residents' right to self-determination and supporting participation are important parts of our daily routine. As the Lead Instructor, you are responsible for the smooth running of daily life at Härmälänranta and work in cooperation with the supervisor. Basic nursing care is a natural part of your job description. Developing and implementing operations together with the work community makes your work diverse and interesting. Areas of responsibility related to the unit's operations are shared among all staff. What skills and experience do you need for the position? - You have at least a suitable basic vocational qualification in social and health care, based on which you are registered in the professional register of the License and Supervision Authority. - You have a completed hygiene passport and the LOVe medication management online test. If necessary, you can complete the LOVe medication management online tests at the start of employment. - We hope that you have gained experience in the field of intellectual disabilities and the use of alternative communication methods. - In this position, you need self-direction, the ability to manage overall processes, the skill to delegate tasks, and the courage to face and demand situations within the work community. - You also need skills in structured documentation and readiness to manage various client data applications (OMNI 365 and Saga) as well as shift planning applications (Titania, Nepton, and Numeron). The start date for the permanent employment contract is September 1, 2026, or as agreed. A probationary period of six months applies to the position. The working time is full-time, averaging 38 h 15 min/week. Shifts are primarily morning shifts on weekdays, where possible. The selected candidate must have valid vaccine protection in accordance with Section 48 of the Communicable Diseases Act (1227/2016). Before accepting the position, the selected candidate must present a criminal record extract in accordance with Section 6, subsection 4 of the Criminal Records Act. The person selected for the position must present the required certificates of their health status within one month of starting work. We plan to hold interviews after the application period ends.
