Job Description
The task of the Work Life Coordinator is to develop cooperation between the educational institution and working life and to promote student employment. They work in collaboration with educational management, teachers from various fields, and companies. They actively organize recruitment and networking events, discuss with actors in working life, and promote good cooperation practices. Their responsibilities include collecting and mapping skills needs from workplaces and companies, especially to support continuous learning for the adult population, networking with stakeholders, promoting work-based training, and organizing training and coaching sessions for clients and stakeholders. The salary and other terms of employment for the Work Life Coordinator are determined according to the municipal general collective agreement. The working hours are full-time, approximately 36.25 hours per week, taking into account the operational requirements of the educational institution. The main workplace is located in Alajärvi, but duties require the use of a personal car and travel between different locations. The joint authority has offices in Alavus, Alajärvi, Kurejoki, Lappajärvi, and Vimpeli. A six-month probation period applies to the filling of the position. Before accepting the position, the selected candidate must present an acceptable medical certificate and a criminal record extract as required by law (504/2002).
