Job Description
We are seeking a permanent crafts teacher specializing in technical work methods at Saunalahti Comprehensive School. Our school has approximately 800 students. Teaching hours are available for grades 3-9, depending on the school year, totaling 24-26 hours per week. We offer a collaborative and development-oriented work community, where all teachers also serve as educators, and we value strong pedagogical insight. The school building is a multi-purpose facility housing the school, youth services, library, and other partners supporting our activities. Over 100 adults work daily alongside our students. The position is permanent. The employment relationship is contractual. Start date: August 1, 2026. This workplace is accessible. Salary: According to OVTES, based on the pay scale https://www.kt.fi/sopimukset/ovtes/palkat-palkkiot Qualifications: Qualification as a crafts teacher for basic education. Teacher qualifications are determined according to the decree on the qualifications of education personnel no 986/98. According to section 9 of the decree, a primary education teacher must have excellent oral and written skills in Finnish. The position requires good interaction and teamwork skills. The selected candidate must present a criminal record extract as defined by the Criminal Records Act section 6.2.
