Job Description
VTA Tekniikka Oy is a financially stable specialist company employing nearly 100 people in Pirkkala and Vantaa, specializing in lifting equipment and temperature control devices for heavy transport vehicles. We are looking for a skilled MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN to handle maintenance, repair, and installation of PALFINGER loading cranes. In this role, you will work with a variety of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems as part of a professional team. Experience with electrical system installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and the ability to use modern diagnostic and software tools are valued. We offer: - Opportunity to work in a diverse and developing environment - Support from an experienced team - A workplace that values your skills and contributions - Working hours: 40 hours/week - Permanent employment (initially through personnel leasing / directly with the client according to agreement) - Collective agreement: Technology Industry - Salary based on skills: €15–19/hour + bonuses and collective agreement increases (please specify your salary expectations) Your tasks will include: - Maintenance, repair, and installation of PALFINGER loading cranes - Hydraulic system maintenance, fault diagnostics, and component replacements - Troubleshooting electrical systems, sensors, and control devices - MIG welding and mechanical assembly - Ensuring work quality and meeting deadlines - Planning your work and collaborating smoothly with the team You succeed in this role if you have: - Relevant technical education (e.g., auto mechanic) or equivalent experience - Ability to read electrical and hydraulic diagrams - Practical experience in maintenance or repair of lifting equipment and heavy machinery - MIG welding skills (certifications not required) - Proactive and responsible work attitude - Positive attitude and willingness to learn - Motivation and ability to work independently and as part of a team - Fluent Finnish language skills (work language Finnish) Working hours: Regular hours: weekdays 07:00–15:30 Additionally: 1 evening shift week every 3–4 weeks (13:30–22:00) 1 Saturday shift every 3–4 weeks with corresponding day off. We will start interviews during the application period, and the first suitable candidate will be hired.
