Development Specialist, International Work Mikkeli Project - Mikkelin kehitysyhtiö Miksei Oy - Mikkeli, Finland

The International Work Mikkeli (IWM) project develops new operational models to support the employment of international professionals, employer recruitment readiness, and settlement in the Mikkeli region. The project includes workshops, mentoring, company visits, matchmaking events for job seekers, and strengthening companies' international recruitment capabilities. Additionally, the project builds permanent service pathways as part of the International House Mikkeli activities in collaboration with regional stakeholders. The project duration is from September 1, 2026, to May 31, 2029. The main implementer is the City of Mikkeli, with sub-implementers including Mikkeli Development Company Miksei, South-Eastern Finland University of Applied Sciences Xamk, and South Savo Education Esedu. The development specialist acts as a project manager, responsible for the practical implementation, coordination, and budgeting of the MikseiMikkeli sub-project. They develop operational models in collaboration with regional companies, educational institutions, and other stakeholders to promote the employment of international professionals in the Mikkeli area. The role includes coordinating events, workshops, and corporate cooperation, networking, communication, and project administration, including monitoring and reporting of activities.
