We are seeking a temporary mathematics teacher, primary location: Turku Classical High School. The position is fixed-term from August 1, 2026, to July 31, 2029. Turku Classical High School, with approximately 700 students, offers a solid general education, including Latin, and artistic experiences with 140 years of history. Our quality teaching, diverse course offerings, skilled teachers, motivated students, and positive learning environment ensure good preparation for further studies for both general and national free-education track students. We have a long tradition and a good atmosphere. Qualifications are determined according to the decree on qualifications for teaching staff (986/1998). The selected candidate must provide a health statement (KVhL 7 §) and a criminal record extract (law on background checks for working with children 504/2002). The employment relationship includes a trial period. We expect you to: - Engage with students as individuals and support their growth - Be linguistically aware and consider students' language backgrounds in teaching - Have good cooperation, teamwork, and interpersonal skills - Be active and development-oriented team player - Have the skills to maintain and use digital learning materials and electronic exam systems, and to serve as a group supervisor Experience in teaching short mathematics at high school, computer skills, and the ability to find teaching methods that meet students' needs are considered an advantage, as well as willingness and ability to co-teach.
