About the role

You are a good team player and your work includes acting as the rotating child caregiver for seven groups in the daycare, working with different teams. As a child caregiver you promote the overall wellbeing, growth and development of the children in your group in cooperation with your work community and families. You are responsible for possible medication administration for your group. Here you have influence over your work, as we give room for activity and new ideas. We value your skills, experience and interest in developing early childhood pedagogy and small-group activities, as well as good group and individual guidance skills and excellent teamwork. The eligibility requirement for a child caregiver is a valid qualification in accordance with the Act on Early Childhood Education and Care (540/2018) section 28, i.e. a foundational degree in Early Childhood Education and Guidance (child caregiver), a foundational degree in Social Welfare and Health Care (lähihoitaja) or other comparable qualification including sufficiently broad studies in child care, upbringing and education and valid complementary qualifications as defined in Government Decree 1177/2018 §3; applicants meeting the transitional provision for personnel under the Early Childhood Education Act 540/2018 are also eligible. The successful applicant must present a criminal background check and a health status certificate in accordance with the Communicable Diseases Act. After a six-month probation, a recruitment bonus of 150 € per month is paid for 12 months for new early childhood educators, provided that employment is permanent and qualifications are met.
