Job Description
We are looking for a committed early childhood education teacher for a fixed-term position from August 3, 2026, to July 31, 2027. The placement at the start of employment is Jokirinteen Daycare, in the support group for 3-5-year-olds. You will be supported by a broad team of early childhood education professionals in Kirkkonummi: early childhood education curators, psychologists, language and culture teachers, a preschool curator, as well as a digital coordinator and other specialists. We value your interest and experience in developing pedagogy for young children. As an early childhood education teacher, you will be responsible for your team’s pedagogy, assessment, and development, and participate in the early childhood education work and development of the unit alongside the daycare director. We expect strong collaboration skills and a desire to work communally and constructively. You will have influence over your work, as we encourage activity and new ideas. The terms of employment are determined according to the municipal sector’s teaching staff collective agreement OVTES. A six-month probationary period is used for fixed-term positions. Qualifications: Qualification as an early childhood education teacher according to the Early Childhood Education Act, section 26 (540/2018). The selected candidate must present a criminal background check within 30 days of receiving the employment decision (Act on the Background Check of Persons Working with Children 504/2002). The position also requires a health statement regarding tuberculosis according to the Infectious Diseases Act, section 55. Interviews will be arranged separately at a mutually agreed time.
