Research Manager - Lounais-Suomen vesi- ja ympäristötutkimus Oy - Turku, Finland

We are seeking an experienced research manager to oversee the operations of our research department and environmental research reporting. As a research manager, you will serve as the supervisor of the research department and participate in expert work in marine and water environment research. You will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and reporting research activities, as well as actively developing the department’s operations. This role is a newly redefined position within our organization, aimed at strengthening and developing the research department. The role reports to the CEO and is part of the company's management team. Basic Information: - Location: Turku, Oriketo - Employment type: Full-time, permanent - Work model: Mainly at the office, partial remote work possible - Desired start: According to agreement, as soon as possible Job Tasks: - Acting as the supervisor of the research department - Coordinating, guiding, and developing research activities - Planning and reporting marine and water environment research and other environmental studies - Customer collaboration and communication with various stakeholders - Participating in sales and acquiring new clients - Preparing and monitoring proposals - Planning sampling in collaboration with the field supervisor - Preparing monitoring programs, permit applications, and statements - Other expert tasks related to waters and environmental protection What do we expect from you? - Higher university degree in natural or environmental sciences - Experience in supervisory roles - Good knowledge of marine ecosystems - Strong reporting skills - Development-oriented attitude and ability to develop operations - Fluent Finnish, good Swedish skills are considered an advantage - Excellent interaction and collaboration skills - Precise and careful work approach What we offer you?
