Production Development Engineer

HANZA Mechanics Oulainen’s state-of-the-art factory offers a diverse range of sheet metal services, assembly and system integration services for demanding needs. Our services also include prototype production and supply chain management. We are looking for a Production Development Engineer to join the Oulainen factory on a permanent contract. You will develop production processes, work methods and operating models in collaboration with a professional team. Your work includes time studies, NPI processes and initiating improvement activities, and you will work closely with internal stakeholders such as Sales, Production, customers and subcontractors. We value an active, proactive attitude towards development, strong collaboration skills and the ability to drive projects to completion. Interest in applying new technologies to improve production efficiency and competitiveness is appreciated. We expect: • Relevant technical education (e.g., engineer or M.Sc. in Technology) • Experience in developing production, processes and work methods in an industrial environment • Understanding of Lean, continuous improvement or other development methodologies • Good IT skills and ability to use various production and development systems • Fluent in Finnish and English Nice to have: • Prior experience in introducing new products or production methods • Experience with Monitor ERP and Digia Envision systems and prior exposure to these • Experience in time studies • Lean Six Sigma knowledge • Precise, careful work approach and ability to prioritize own work to meet schedules.
