Come join us as an English Language Teacher at the nature-oriented and education-friendly Mynämäki! We are hiring an English language teacher for Mynämäki High School starting August 1, 2026. Mynämäki High School is an institution with approximately 150 students. We operate in our own school building next to the medieval gray stone church of Mynämäki. The school has a proud history of over one hundred years. Join us in building a bright future for our high school! Qualifications for the position are based on the decree on the qualifications of teaching staff (Decree 986/98, Section 10). Original certificates demonstrating qualifications must be presented during the interview. Salary and employment conditions are governed by the municipal collective agreement for education personnel (OVTES). The position is filled on a permanent basis. In addition to teaching English, qualifications to teach other languages and subjects are considered an advantage. We expect applicants to have good teamwork skills, knowledge of the curriculum, and the ability to apply it in daily teaching, as well as consideration for different learners. We value a developmental and experimental approach both in teaching and as part of the school community. Mynämäki High School has received Erasmus accreditation from the Finnish National Agency for Education for international activities. We actively participate in the Erasmus+ exchange program. We are looking for a person who can contribute to international projects and foster community spirit and joy in school life. A six-month probation period applies to the appointment. The selected candidate must submit a health statement (KVhL Section 7) and a criminal record extract (Child Welfare Act, Section 6, Subsection 2, Law 504/2002) within 30 days of receiving the decision.
