Parking Inspector - Helsingin kaupunki - Helsinki, Finland

Join us in providing meaningful customer service on the streets of Helsinki! The parking enforcement and parking services are recruiting parking inspectors to strengthen their expert team. Your tasks as a parking inspector include monitoring compliance with parking and stopping regulations, guiding and advising customers on parking matters, and issuing parking fines and other sanctions based on parking violations, unnecessary idling, and vehicle removal laws. You will mainly work in pairs, walking and using public transport in the city center, requiring good physical condition. In suburban areas, you may use parking enforcement vehicles, so readiness to drive in Helsinki is needed. This is a service profession involving various customer interactions, sometimes challenging. We will train you for the role. The minimum qualification is a secondary education diploma and knowledge of traffic and idling regulations (B driving license). Excellent communication skills, fluent Finnish, good customer service and ICT skills, and problem-solving ability are required. Active and proactive work attitude is essential. Knowledge of Helsinki's local area and English is a plus. Salary is based on a tiered pay system, with a base salary of €2444.58/month plus experience-based pay of 0-8%.
