We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic special education teacher to join our team as a substitute for a permanent position from August 10, 2026, to July 31, 2027. The role involves working as a special education teacher within a grade-level team, which includes classroom teachers, a special education teacher, and a school counselor. Our school operates on a co-teaching model. The supported students generally learn inclusively as part of their grade group. Rakokivi Basic School, located in the multi-purpose building Loisto since fall 2021, is a primary school with approximately 450 students. It is situated in Rakokivi shopping center with good transportation links. In addition to the school, the Loisto building houses Rakokivi Daycare, Nastola Library, and other users. We benefit from excellent sports facilities nearby and have strong expertise in learning support. Our community enjoys working together, sharing knowledge internally, and leveraging staff strengths. Interpersonal skills, flexibility, and suitability to the work community influence the selection. The selection is based on suitability and qualifications. The qualification requirement is a valid license as a special education teacher, as specified by the decree on the qualifications of education personnel (986/98). If no qualified applicants are available, the position may be filled by an applicant without the qualification. The selected candidate must present a criminal background check as required by law 504/2002 before starting the job. A drug test certificate may also be requested.
