Subcontracting Procurement Manager Shipbuilding & Offshore Sector Location: Pori Employment Type: Full-time About the Role We are seeking a Subcontracting Procurement Manager to join our procurement organization within the shipbuilding and offshore sector. In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing, contracting, and managing subcontractors for shipbuilding and offshore projects, as well as actively developing subcontracting practices, supplier networks, and procurement processes. You will work closely with project management, engineering, and production teams and report directly to the Procurement Director, providing visibility, ownership, and influence over projects and sourcing decisions. This role is essential in ensuring subcontracted scopes are delivered safely, on time, and in accordance with technical, contractual, and quality standards, while also driving continuous improvement and long-term value creation in subcontracting. Key Responsibilities · Manage procurement of subcontracted works for shipbuilding and offshore projects · Prepare and manage requests for quotation (RFQs), tendering, and contract negotiations for subcontracting scopes · Evaluate subcontractors based on technical capability, capacity, safety, quality, and commercial terms · Negotiate contracts, including scope definitions, pricing, schedules, and terms & conditions · Coordinate closely with project, engineering, and site teams to align subcontracted work scopes · Monitor subcontractor performance related to schedule, quality, cost, and HSE requirements · Handle contract administration, variations, and claims in cooperation with project teams · Maintain and actively develop the approved subcontractor network, including identifying and onboarding new partners · Contribute to the development and standardisation of subcontracting procurement processes, tools, and ways of working · Identify opportunities for cost optimisation, efficiency improvements, and risk mitigation within subcontracting · Provide procurement status updates and subcontracting performance reporting directly to the Procurement Director Requirements * Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Procurement, or a related field * Proven experience in subcontracting procurement, preferably within shipbuilding, offshore, marine, or industrial construction projects * Strong understanding of subcontracting contracts, scope management, and project-based procurement * Ability to interpret technical drawings, schedules, and specifications * Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills * Experience with ERP systems and contract management tools * Structured, proactive, and solution-oriented working approach * Fluent English and Finnish What We Offer · A key role in complex shipbuilding and offshore projects · Direct reporting line and close cooperation with the Procurement Director · Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits · Opportunities to shape and develop subcontracting practices, supplier base, and procurement processes · A collaborative, hands-on, and professional team culture SATA Shipbuilding Oy offers you a full-time type of employment.
