Social Worker, Foster Care for Residential Care - Vantaan ja Keravan hyvinvointialue - Remote - Global

We are building a well-being area in Vantaa together with residents, based on justice, responsibility, and courage. We seek a social worker for a temporary position from June 1, 2026, to March 31, 2027, or as agreed, to support foster families in child protection foster care. The role involves supporting foster carers, network cooperation, working with social workers responsible for children, documentation, and organizing peer support groups. The work is versatile and involves travel across Finland, requiring the use of a personal car. The ideal candidate has a genuine interest in child protection and foster care, positive and customer-oriented attitude, good communication skills, and knowledge of child protection. Fluency in Finnish, both spoken and written, is required. The work is based in Myyrmäki, Vantaa, with good public transport connections. The team includes experienced social workers and a systemic approach with a family therapist. The position offers monthly training, onboarding, a competent team, flexible remote work, and mentorship support.
