Job Description
Metropolia University of Applied Sciences' Property and Construction sector is Finland's largest provider of education in the field. We are looking for a professional in HVAC to teach and develop learning within our building services team. Experience in heat pump or refrigeration technology is an advantage. The primary language of instruction is Finnish. However, teaching in English is increasing. We require: - Higher university degree in building services engineering (DI or YAMK) - At least three years of work experience in building services engineering - Excellent Finnish language skills and good English language skills - Strong willingness to collaborate with all members of our higher education community Additional valued skills include: - Pedagogical studies for vocational teachers. If pedagogical qualification is lacking, completion of 60 ECTS credits in vocational teacher pedagogy must be completed within three years of starting the job. - Previous teaching and guidance experience at a university level - Development of pedagogical methods and experience working in virtual learning environments For us, good teaching means not only high-quality content but also a positive learning experience for students. The role combines developing your own teaching field and following trends in building services engineering, training future professionals, and engaging in research and development work.
