Job Description

WE ARE SEEKING AN EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION CHILDCARE WORKER FOR NORLANDIA PIKKUKARHU [https://norlandiapaivakodit.fi/norlandia-pikkukarhu] "Look, I can put on my gloves all by myself! Guess what, I learned how to write my name at home yesterday. Today I dared to go down the big slide for the first time." In your work, you are the one who listens, sees, and is genuinely present in the children's everyday lives. You are an early childhood education professional who creates an environment with room for learning, wonder, and doing things together. WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU? * You are a qualified early childhood education childcare worker who can support children's growth, play, exploration, and insights in various everyday situations. * You work naturally with other professionals in your group and with families, ensuring that the children's day progresses calmly and consistently. * You participate in the planning and development of activities and take responsibility for ensuring that daily situations proceed in a way that is suitable for children and supports their learning. WE OFFER YOU * a fixed-term employment contract for the period 1.9-23.12.2026 * 80% working hours. Working hours may potentially increase to 100% starting in October * the opportunity to influence the activities of your group * private occupational healthcare * sports, culture, and wellbeing benefits * affordable workplace catering * training opportunities through Norlandia Academy * the opportunity to serve as one of the kindergarten's Norlandia Komppi coordinators. WHY NORLANDIA DAYCARE CENTERS? Our employees say that the best thing about Norlandia is that supervisors and the support organization are genuinely close and supportive in everyday situations. Each of us has the opportunity to influence our own work and develop our daily routines. Each of our daycare centers operates with its own local approach, and the benefits provided by the chain support daily efficiency. Community and inclusion make us a workplace where people stay for a long time. APPLY TO US! Submit your application by August 3, 2026. We review applications during the application period and will fill the position as soon as a suitable person is found. Further information about the position can be obtained from the kindergarten director Jenni Vesamäki at 050 301 3893 or via email at jenni.vesamaki@norlandia.com. The person selected for the position must present a criminal record extract before the employment begins (Act on the Checking of the Criminal Background of Persons Working with Children 504/2002).
