ICT Specialist (User Support) - Asikkalan kunta - Asikkala, Finland

The ICT specialist for user support will work as part of a new team of three members responsible for providing IT services in the municipality of Asikkala. The main tasks of the ICT specialist for user support are: Acting as the first point of contact for municipal employees, focusing on education and training services; Installing, commissioning, and managing lifecycle changes for workstations, mobile devices, and peripherals, including maintaining the device registry; Handling tickets and resolving issues as part of the IT service team; Providing occasional standby support in the evenings and weekends, for example during elections and municipal events. The qualification requirement for the ICT specialist for user support is a suitable vocational ICT education. Additionally, we expect at least two years of experience in IT support tasks, with experience in the municipal sector considered an advantage. The role requires fluent Finnish and good English skills for technical documentation and troubleshooting. A valid B-class driver’s license and access to a personal car are also required due to the mobile nature of the work. We are looking for a solution-oriented team player with a proactive work approach. Flexibility, resilience under pressure, and good collaboration and communication skills are also desired. The employment terms are governed by the General Municipal Civil Service and Collective Agreement (KVTES), with a salary of €3,000 per month. This salary includes the general increase effective from August 1, 2026, according to KVTES. Possible experience-based allowances will also be paid in accordance with KVTES. The position is subject to a 6-month probation period. The employment will start as agreed, with the aim for the selected person to begin in early August 2026.
