Guidance workers for strongly supported aftercare housing

We are seeking nurses, social workers and practical nurses for our new strongly supported aftercare housing unit in Kruununhaka, Helsinki. Go Strong Avopalvelut will launch the aftercare for youths in Helsinki on 1 November 2026. The unit will house 25 youths in their own apartments within a building that also contains staff facilities. Our goal is to provide a safe home and the right level of individualized support for youths to become independent. As a guide you will support youths comprehensively in their everyday lives, including goal-focused individual work, strengthening daily living, housing and budgeting skills, providing support related to studies, employment and meaningful leisure, health and wellbeing guidance, handling acute and challenging situations, fostering youth participation and community, documenting client work and evaluating goals, and collaborating with social workers, health care professionals and other networks. Work is in a multidisciplinary team with part-time doctor, psychologist and special education teacher. We aim to build a stable and committed workplace. Shifts are two-shift and generally 7–15 and 15–23, seven days a week. Requirements: nurse or social worker or practical nurse education, registration as a social or health care professional, interest in goal-oriented relationship-based work with youths, good communication and documentation skills, calm and firm work approach in challenging situations, readiness for two-shift work and weekend work, sufficient Finnish speaking and writing skills. We value experience in aftercare, child protection, supported housing and mental health or substance abuse work. Salary: We follow the private social services sector collective agreement. Salary is based on Helsinki region pay scale and service years: Practical nurse, G21: 2543.33–2871.53 €/month; Social worker and nurse, G24D: 2850.98–3110.42 €/month.
