Main Teacher of Islam Religion - Vaasan kaupunki - Vaasa, Finland

The Finnish-speaking basic education of the City of Vaasa is seeking a substitute main teacher of Islam religion for various primary schools from August 1, 2026, to July 31, 2027. The teacher will work at different schools with students in grades 1-9. The schools are Hietalahti School, Isolahti School, Keskuskoulu, Nummen School, Onkilahden Comprehensive School, and Variska Comprehensive School. The task of teaching Islam religion is to provide students with broad religious and worldview literacy. The instruction includes familiarization with one's own religion, exploring the diverse world of religions, and contemplating a good life. The teaching follows the core curriculum of basic education. Eligibility is in accordance with Government Decree 986/1998. Proficiency in Finnish is required. We require familiarity with religious education and knowledge of the curriculum. The job requires mobility between several schools. We value proactive work attitude and good cooperation skills.
